Every child deserves to experience the magic and joy of the holiday season. Through Toy Patrol, the Long Beach Police Foundation helps bring smiles, hope, and holiday cheer to children and families facing difficult circumstances throughout our community.

Each year, the Long Beach Police Department partners with the Long Beach Fire Department, Long Beach Motor Patrol Association, and local community organizations to collect and personally deliver toys and gifts to children and families in need across Long Beach.

Many of the families served through Toy Patrol are identified by police officers during their daily interactions with the community. These may include families experiencing financial hardship, victims of crime, or individuals receiving support through the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center.

But Toy Patrol is about much more than delivering presents.

It's about showing families that their community cares, building meaningful relationships between first responders and residents, and bringing moments of happiness and comfort during challenging times.

A simple gift can bring a smile, create a lasting memory, and remind a family that they are not alone.

Toy Patrol is made possible entirely through the generosity of community members, local businesses, and department employees.

No City funds are used to purchase gifts for this program. Every toy and gift is provided through donations, making community support essential to its success.

How to Donate

Financial contributions can be made online or by check payable to the Long Beach Police Foundation.

Please designate your donation for “Toy Patrol” in the notes or memo section to ensure your contribution supports this program.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys are also welcome, along with corporate sponsorships and community toy drives. Please contact the Foundation for information about coordinating in-kind contributions.

The Long Beach Police Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Participation Information

Toy Patrol serves children and families identified through the Long Beach Police Department's community outreach efforts, including families experiencing hardship and those affected by crime or traumatic events.

Recipients are identified and coordinated through the program's participating agencies and community partners. Toy Patrol is not a public gift registration or application program.

Together, we can make the holidays brighter, strengthen the bonds between first responders and our community, and bring joy to Long Beach families, one gift at a time.
